Quincy Vidal was first established in 2009, after Le’Asha Julius and CE met in the Acting Conservatory at SUNY Purchase College. A year later, they created The Cookin’ in Brooklyn LP (2010). Since then, they have gained many comparisons to artists such as A Tribe Called Quest, Outkast, Fugees, and Digable Planets. After graduating with BFA degrees, QV moved back to Brooklyn and immediately began working on their sophomore effort, Sentimental Moods (2012), a gritty anthology of Brooklyn life after college. Two years later, the duo decided it was time to share their individual musicalities and released a double album entitled Utopia| LDZ (2014).
