Dennis Doherty teaches creative writing and literature at SUNY New Paltz, as well as lecturing and reading at local schools at every level, including prisons. His essays, poems, and stories appear throughout the literary press, from local to national outlets. He is author of three volumes of poetry:The Bad Man (2004, Ye Olde Font Shoppe Press), Fugitive (2007, Codhill Press), and Crush Test (2010, Codhill Press), as well as a book length study of Mark Twain’s novel, Why Read The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn (2014, New Street Communications).
